Environmental Policy
TASOCS considers that care for the environment is paramount in conducting business and is committed to environmental sustainability, improvement and prevention of pollution.
Our business objective is to use resources efficiently, minimise waste and the likelihood of accidental discharges of pollutants, maintain a safe, healthy working environment in which staff, visitors, subcontractors, suppliers and the general public are not exposed to unreasonable hazards.
We are committed to:
- Setting measurable environmental objectives and targets to minimise the impact of our environmental footprint;
- Continually improve our environmental sustainability, prioritised by environmental risk;
- Operating in accordance with all legislation relevant to environmental management;
- Encouraging personnel to be involved in our waste management program.
We will achieve this by:
- Identifying and complying with all relevant State, Federal and Local legislation;
- Encourage and support environmental responsibility among all employees through training, education and communication;
- Recycling of components (or parts of);
- Considering refurbishment before manufacture;
- Reducing paper and consumable usage and encourage the use of environmentally friendly materials, equipment and packaging; and
- Assisting where possible, government agencies and community groups engaged in environmental activities.
Whilst management and supervisors are accountable for ensuring this policy is understood and enforced, the responsibility for implementing this policy rests with all personnel
